Electric field measurements of DC-driven positive streamer coronas using the E-FISH method

This paper reports on electric field measurements, using the field-induced second harmonic (E-FISH) method, sampling spatial structure and temporal development of DC-driven positive streamer coronas in atmospheric-pressure air at relevant timescales to examine self-pulsating behavior discharge. The discharge is triggered from a point-to-plate geometry consists transient coronas, which bridge inter-electrode gap pulsate about 3 kHz, superimposed with persisting glow corona. measurements presented challenge phenomenological explanation for pulsations based recovery anode driven by evacuation ions drift effects hint propagating wave-like feature plate-cathode tip-anode.
